Originally founded as Electrical Utility Disaster Specialists, Inc. in 2015, EUDS Consulting is the brainchild of co-founders Gary Grubbs and Ken Smith, both electrical engineers who have each spent years working within the FEMA Public Assistance (PA) program. As our founding name indicates, our firm was built upon the unique knowledge and decades of experience our founding partners have established working with both large- and small-scale electrical utility-related disasters. And while this remains an important component of our business, we have the expertise to assist our clients with all their disaster recovery needs.

Our professional staff includes former FEMA employees and other career professionals with years of experience in damage assessment, cost estimating, appeals, grants management, hazard mitigation and other aspects of the PA process. And as a longtime provider of technical assistance contractors to the PA program, we have an in-depth knowledge of the complexities of the PA process and what it really takes to get you the funding you need.

And while we have staff located across the country, we are first and foremost a small business that prioritizes direct client communication and a personalized approach to every job that we take on.
